BIG Principles

The BIG Dream

BIG is an ethical and principled organization built upon a strong set of ideals. BIG‘s close adherence to these ideals is one of the many things that make our corporation unique.

Adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honesty.

BIG has a strong sense of moral and ethical responsibility, a commitment to honesty, fairness and courtesy to all EVE players and a strong loyalty to our friends inside and outside of the corporation.

A union or fellowship arising from common responsibilities and interests.

BIG is committed to creating a tight-knit community, a feeling that “we are all in this together.” To this end we have implemented one of the most comprehensive replacement programs in EVE, financed by member donations. BIG members are a part of an exclusive family that sees value in one another far beyond isk and killboard stats.

The practice of unselfish concern for or devotion to the welfare of others.

BIG is generous to the EVE community as a whole, as demonstrated by the BIG Lottery, the longest-running non-profit lottery in EVE. BIG members support one another without hesitation or desire to receive anything in return.

To continue steadfastly in some state, purpose, course of action, or the like, especially in spite of opposition.

BIG is more than a corporation in EVE, it is an ideal to strive for and be achieved at all costs, no matter how impossible. BIG also aims to be steadfast in all its political and business commitments, seeing through all it’s responsibilities until it is no longer able.

Careful planning, caution and good judgement in the management of resources and personnel.

BIG is cautious rather than impulsive and values planning and long-term thinking. We believe that the key to a successful long-term presence in EVE is to utilize our resources in the most efficient and meaningful way possible.

Free choice of one’s own acts or states without external compulsion.

No task or operation is mandatory and BIG members are never given strict orders or forced to fill quotas. BIG members are encouraged to participate in things that further the our collective goals, though it is not uncommon for BIG members to stray into other parts of the game when they want to.
